You will need to know a vast amount about flowers otherwise you will not be able to deliver the best service possible to your customers.
A florist is a very satisfying career as you will be making people very happy on a daily basis and your flowers can be featured in somebody’s wedding, make someone’s day on their birthday or even be featured in a magazine. You can make a great deal of money by being a florist especially if you own the store, select a good location where there is a lot of housing or local businesses as this will bring in more custom. You will often be very busy but satisfied at the end of the day. A good florist will build a good reputation therefore with some added marketing you can go very far.
